Journalist and Author Wayne Weible

Medjugorje USA has learned that Medjugorje champion Wayne Weible has passed away after a long illness with pancreatic problems. Just last Thursday (April 19, 2018) he was places in the care of Hospice where he passed just a few days later.

Mr. Weible was well know for his religious conversion related to the apparitions taking place in Medjugorje which at the time was a province in Yugoslavia. A secular journalist at the time, Weible put out a small newspaper like publication about Medjugorje and his conversation. He offered boxes of these newspapers (free of charge) to people who promised to spread the message of Medjugorje. The little publication took off and thousands and thousands of these were circulated throughout the U.S.

Later Wayne would go on to write a number of books about Medjugorje, including the well circulated staple, "Medjugorje The Message." He could be found on the Medjugorje Conference circuits and talking to group and organization who wanted to here about Medjugorje. Later he also took groups of pilgrims to Medjugorje so they could experience the phenomenon for themselves.
