Still others have found that making a "Sensational Cake" gets people to visit there site to look at sensational headlines and in this process they are able to promote a vast number of items for sale. No matter how you look at it, these websites lure in the faithful with the cake mixture above but the hidden motivation is far more human than the topics of discussion.

I would like to remind all Medjugorje USA visitors of given truths that are facts which should be very helpful in times like these when speculation and rumors and running wild and rampant. In the April 26, 2001 Medjugorje Press Bulletin, the Medjugorje priests' address sensationalism. The brief statement tells us that we need to use discernment in matters where news is being spread. No where does it say that the first thing we need do is to seek out, believe and follow speculation, rumor and sensationalism.

In regards to concerns of future events, speculation and the anxiety that could result from these subject matters, we need look at the message of the "Queen of Peace" from January 25, 2001. "Dear children! Today I call you to renew prayer and fasting with even greater enthusiasm until prayer becomes a joy for you. Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped - wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children: your peace and hope are in God. That is why draw closer to God and put Him in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call."

What part of this message of Our Lady don't people yet understand? Scripture tells us that we should, "Seek first the Kingdom of God." The message on January 25 also tells us that we need to put God in first place. If we pray and fast we have no need to worry about the information on these websites that love to spread rumor, speculation and sensationalism. Rumors, speculations, and sensationalisms do not promote truth or the greater good to increase the faith of the laity. All that rumors, speculation and sensationalism accomplish is to instill fear and anxiety where fear and anxiety need not be.

Medjugorje USA highly recommends that we avoid websites that insist in preying on fear and anxiety to promote whatever hidden agenda they seek to accomplish. All we need do is to live the message of Our Lady of Medjugorje from January 25, 2001 and we have nothing whatsoever to fear or anxiety to suffer. Living the January 25 message gives us, peace, trust and hope. Romans 5:3-5 tell us that through tribulation comes endurance and through endurance comes tried virtue and from tried virtue we gain hope, and hope never disappoints because the charity of God is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit that is given us."
