"Signs of the Times"

These articles by no mean suggest that what is written in them relates to Medjugorje. Medjugorje is by far the longest running series of known Marian apparitions in the history of the world. This thought as well as the Medjugorje secret warning signs and chastisements yet to be revealed, suggests we are living in times that are like no other. This series of articles are possible current events that could be woven into Scriptural, "Signs of the Times." The articles in this section mostly reflect issues related to the United States because this is where the author lives.

This series of articles offers years of research. Even so, readers need consider these articles are speculation at best. Continued research by one and all is required because the word speculation does not by any means validate a proof positive. Anyone who reads these articles and considers them "Gospel Truth" has missed the concept of what these articles have set out to accomplish. The primary objective of these articles are to offer reasonable theories of possible "Signs of the Times" based on past and current world events. The hope is a few dedicated readers will continue research of these and other issues for continued development and consideration of this subject matter. It is also my hope these articles may help a few lost souls giving them a new path and direction.

These articles only touch on subject matters as each topic in and among itself is worthy of several chapters of information. This is why I recommend readers do their own research. The author of this series also knows not even one is going to accept and or agree with every aspect of these articles. We live in a world where everyone has opinions to which each are entitled. As such, these articles are not up for debate but offered as food for thought.

Chapter 1

As I sat to write this article my thought was to write 25 things we can do this month to make the world we live in a better place, in honor of Our Lady’s 25 years in Medjugorje. Acts of charity and kindness for loved ones or even a stranger in need are all good things God wants us to do more of. Prayer and Fasting is another great means by which we can not only change ourselves but the lives of others and possible events in this world that may seem headed on a collision course. As I pondered this more, I realized what I though would be a positive suggestion was in fact turning into what some may consider negative. So I thought I should first clarify my personal outlook on life, prior to getting started on this new series of articles.

I am a realist and try to see things for what they are and not what I would like them to be. If I see things my heart tells me are not good, I pray and offer sacrifice as this is the very best we can do. Being a realist is not easy at times. It is difficult when my heart is telling me one thing and my head does not want to listen. During such turmoil, I toss my thoughts out to others to see what type of response I will get in return. Lately what I’ve received in regard to “Signs of the Times” appears to show a lack of interest, even though Our Lady is telling us we need to understand them.

The Medjugorje apparitions began in June of 1981 and continue still 25 years later, making Medjugorje the longest apparition in known history. Besides Medjugorje, there seems to be many widespread sighting of Our Lady worldwide. Statues are weeping tears of blood and other phenomena are taking place around the globe in record numbers. These strange happenings have no rational explanation that can easily be explained away. Why are these strange and unusual events happening so frequently? Why has the Medjugorje apparitions lasted so long? Have we reached a time of urgency and or are these “Signs of the Times?” This is a question we should all seriously consider as Our Lady told the Medjugorje visionaries that Medjugorje will be Her last apparition on Earth and Her visitation have already lasted 25 years.

During the Fatima apparitions in Portugal Our Lady gave Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco 3 secrets, all which have come true despite a doubting world. The Miracle of the Sun in Fatima on October 13, 1917, still has not convinced this world that God exists. In Lourdes, Our Lady led Bernadette to the hidden spring where many have been cured of infirmities even to this day. Still the world does not believe. The Garabandal apparitions were not approved by the local Bishop in Spain, even though considerable testimonies, most unusual events, and prophecy of chastisements were said to be forthcoming to the world for correction. Garabandal seems similar to Medjugorje by promises of warning signs and chastisements. Medjugorje today, hangs in the balance of those who stand for and those who stand opposed. As this world continues to divide itself in debate, people are failing to see the “Signs of the Times”

If we are to consider Medjugorje is in fact the last apparition of the Virgin Mary on earth, this is likely why the Medjugorje apparitions have lasted so long. Maybe with the world gone amuck, God has sent us all these signs and wonders as a last ditch effort to reach lost souls. Above all things, God desire that not one soul be lost. If the Chastisements of Medjugorje come to pass, this could mean God has decided it is time for the world to reap what it has sown. One likely reason why Our Lady has stayed so long in Medjugorje is due to the fact we are just not getting the seriousness of Her message, which is a thought She often mentions.

Our Lady appears in Medjugorje under the title, “Queen of Peace.” This title is a great indication for the reason of Her coming these past 25 years. In Fatima our Lady warned of a great evil coming out of Russia. Mary appeared in Fatima under the title, “Lady of the Rosary.” There is no question that the rosaries of the Faithful have led to life changing events that History proves had stopped the Russian aggression. In Medjugorje, Gospa now appears with the title, “Queen of Peace.”

It would be difficult to give the reader a full scope of the keyword “Peace” as Our Lady makes mention of this word well over 100 times in Her Medjugorje messages. Mary has come (in part) to teach us how to live the Medjugorje messages and find peace, even in this troubled world. If we seriously live Her messages, we will clearly see we need to first, live Her messages within ourselves. When we are on good foundation, we need bring the messages to our family, friends and this world. If this world can not find a means to peace, this planet as we know it will be reduced to a burned out cinder. So to prevent the end result and prepare us for grave times ahead, Our Lady, “Queen of Peace” has been with us now 25 years. This time of grace in Medjugorje is not going to last forever.

Suggesting if man continues on his current course this world could become ashes, is a difficult message too swallows. It is so much easier to go through life with a blind eye, because we just don’t want to think about possible cataclysmic events. It is much easier to put messages of “Warning Signs and Chastisements” in the closet, forget about them and whistle as we go our merry way. Yet for anyone who follows current events on any given day, it is clear this world is living in grave times. Still many go about their daily lives like everything is just fine as this is much easier than considering other possibilities. However, if we continue to ignore current events, we are in fact refusing to notice the “Signs of the Times.”

This is the first of several articles to come on this subject matter. Other chapters will follow in the coming months. Chapter will be on the following subjects, Erasing God from American life, Micro Chips, The New World Order, weather patterns, Masonry and Knights Templar, Scams and Thieves, Modernism, Plagues of the Self Image, Our Lady of Medjugorje Messages, Federal Reserve, Silence of the Faithful, Warning Signs and Chastisements and so on. As you can see from these titles, these articles are going to take some months to prepare but will do my best to offer a new article each month in the series.

My decision to follow though with these articles on the “Signs of the Times” is not the presentation of an alarmist but more so a last ditch effort which I pray is for the greater good and glory of God. The final prompt for me to proceed on this course is based on,

THE ANNUAL APPARITION OF OUR LADY TO MIRJANA DRAGICEVIC-SOLDO ON MARCH
18, 2006

"Dear children! In this Lenten time, I call you to interior renunciation. The way to this leads you through love, fasting, prayer and good works. Only with total interior renunciation will you recognize God's love and the signs of the time in which you live. You will be witnesses of these signs and will begin to speak about them. I desire to bring you to this. Thank you for having responded to me."

Interior renunciation is a long hard look within ourselves at the sins we have committed which speaks to us deep in the soul and the willingness to make correction so we offend God no more. God is already much offended by the sin in the world and correction will have to come either by interior renunciation or chastisement, which is likely Our Lady say’s in Her message “I desire to bring you to this.” This says, She desires to bring us to renunciation because renunciation is far better than Chastisements. Our Lady also tells us in this message the way to reject the sin that lives within us is to love, fast, pray and do good works. She encourages us by telling us, if we commit to complete renunciation, love, fasting, prayer and good works, these things will help us to recognize the “Signs of the Times.”

The answer here seems simple in that there are few who seek renunciation and even fewer who know the true value of love. Few are fasting, praying and doing good works and the poor in this world are suffering for it. Yet, if we ourselves were to do these good things Our Lady recommends, we would quickly see how few in the world are in fact following this good path. This is most certainly a “Sign of the Times.”

The words, “Signs of the Times” are a crucial clue to bring this message given Mirjana, into perspective. In Matthew Chapter 16 we find that the Pharisees and Sadducees asked Jesus to show them a sign from heaven because they did not believe Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus replied, “When it is evening you say, ‘The weather will be fair, for the sky is red; And in morning you say, ‘It will be stormy today for the sky is red and lowering.’ You know then how to read the face of the sky but cannot read the signs of the times! An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, and no sign shall be given it but the sign of Jonas.” And Jesus let them ponder this thought.

Matthew 24: 24, tell us of the destruction of Jerusalem. Jesus’ disciples inquire more asking what will be the signs of the end of the world? Jesus warns them of false Christ’s and prophets and says in those days we will hear of wars and rumors of war and nation will rise against nation and there shall be pestilence, famine and earthquakes in various places.

The Scripture goes to say that these things are the beginning of sorrow as other scriptures say during these times we need follow such events as birth pangs. We know as a mother nears birth, the pangs become closer and closer, one after another. This is how we need follow the “Signs of the Times spoken of in Matthew 24:24.

As I mentioned above, sightings of Our Lady and unusual phenomena is taking place around the world in unprecedented portions, the likes of which has never been known. Wars and rumors of wars, make the daily news. Pestilence is raging from infestations such as the caterpillar (which this year on the East Cost many say is the worst they have ever seen) to new strains of viruses. Our animals are sick with diseases that can kill humans such as mad cow and bird flu. Sea life is beaching itself as they tries to escape the working of man who have nearly destroyed the seas. The ozone is thin and contaminated from years of abuse causing the melting of Polar Regions. Rain forests are being cut down, leaving desert waste at an alarming rate. Acid rain falls from the sky. Our drinking water supplies are in critical ruin. Religious cults are leading astray even the elect. One can not watch a nightly new program without hearing of a world immersed in thievery, gang violence, hatred and murders. Terrorists are hiding in the shadows waiting for the right moment to bring chaos. Oil companies making billions of dollars in profit while the poor are left in ice cold dwelling in the winter time. Greed is everywhere, touching our lives through clever scams. The list goes on and on an on. Yet still everyone is whistling their way through life thinking everything is just fine. They refused to accept or can’t see, the “Signs of the Times.” Even so, the worst is yet to come.

Greater persecution will arise in these end days. Many believers will be handed over to tribulation and put to death because they believe in Jesus and Mary. Jesus tells us we need to be watchful for at what hour these things will happen, no one knows. These evils come upon like thieves in the night. However, Our Lady has come by the grace of God to help us understand the times we are living in.

In April, 2006 Medjugorje visionary Mirjana received the following message from Our Lady

”Dear Children, I come to you because I wish to show you, by my example, the importance of prayer for those who have not know the love of God. Ask yourself if you are following me. My children, don’t you recognize the signs of the times? Don’t you talk about them? Follow me. As your Mother I call you! Thank you for having responded.”

Look at how many times Our Heavenly Mother calls to us in the message above. She starts with “Dear Children” adding “My Children” and “Follow me” and “as your Mother I call you.” Mary is telling us we are Her children and we need to see this and follow Her because She is calling us together. Medjugorje is liken to a mother calling for Her Children together before the storm.

It is also an interesting note that over the course of just two months Our Lady of Medjugorje mentions the Signs of the Time twice, where as in all the other messages she has left since 1981, there is only one other message which talks about the Signs of the Times. Many other visionaries worldwide (in record proportions) are also claiming grave times ahead.

August 25, 1993

"Dear children! I want you to understand that I am your Mother, that I want to help you and call you to prayer. Only by prayer can you understand and accept my messages and practice them in your life. Read Sacred Scripture, live it, and pray to understand the signs of the times. This is a special time, therefore, I am with you to draw you close to my heart and the heart of my Son, Jesus. Dear little children, I want you to be children of the light and not of the darkness. Therefore, live what I am telling you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Again in this message Our Lady mentioned to us that She is Our Mother. She again tells us the importance of prayer to understand Her Messages. She adds that we need “read Sacred Scripture, live it, and pray to understand the Signs of the Time.” This message is clearly telling us if we read our Scripture and pray, we will understand the Signs of the Times.” This tells us Our Lady’s appearance in Medjugorje is in fact part of the Scriptures. The only way we will find the answer to the Signs of the Times is through the suggestions Our Lady has recommended to us in these three messages.

So for the few who really want to know and understand the “Signs of the Times” and the messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje, they need read the messages over and over till they have a rudimentary understanding of the message they are studying. Next they need to take the keywords in that message and apply them accordingly to Scripture. To do this I recommend a “Strong’s Exhaustive Bible Concordance.” In the index of the Concordance you will find these keywords and their location in the Scriptures. Apply Our Lady’s message you are researching to the keywords in Scriptures that would apply and this will give you far greater insight into the messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje, “Queen of Peace.” To truly know the answers, one has to apply themselves.

Our Lady tells us (in part) on the tenth anniversary of the apparitions in Medjugorje that we need read the Sacred Scriptures so that through Her coming we can discover the message in Sacred Scripture for us…” (June 25, 1991.) This clearly tells us once again what is happening in Medjugorje is located in the Scriptures. This is not a matter that should be taken lightly as Our Lady has stated we are not seeing the “Signs.” The world seems to continue on its merry way thinking all is just fine, much like the thought in Scripture of a blind man leading a blind man. The answers to Our Lady’s appearances in Medjugorje are in Scripture!

Because I believe it important each one finds a few of these Scriptures on their own to show God they are truly searching and trying to live the messages, I will not share all my research at this time and uncertain if I will during the course of these articles. What I will do is to give those who are reading this article a clue that I believe is in fact Our Lady of Medjugorje in Scripture. This clue would be to ask ourselves, how does Our Lady appear in Medjugorje? Remember when thinking on this that Luke Chapter one tells us that Mary was blessed among all women. Finally we have to also keep in mind Our Lady appears in Medjugorje under the title, “Queen of Peace.” This tells us that She is a “Queen” and has come in the name of “Peace.” The greater peace can only come when we become dead to sin.

Because there is no peace in the world as Our Heavenly Mother has stated in other Medjugorje messages (example July 25, 1991, message not in this article so look it up). I believe we need to take our heads out of the sand and see what is happening around us. If this world does not decide for peace, all I can say is, “woe to the world when forgiveness and mercy are no more.”
