Medjugorje Testimony Of Dennis

A number of years ago I attended the annual Medjugorje Peace Conference at the Bren Center in Irvine, California.  Ivan, one of the six visionaries / seers, was one of the speakers at the conference.  An upper room at the Center was set aside as an both an adoration room as well as the room where Ivan would go to pray & listen to the Blessed Virgin’s message which an interpreter would then pass on to us waiting & praying outside of said room.  The Blessed Virgin would appear & speak to Ivan at the same time each day, 6:40 p.m., as with the other five visionaries/ seers, no matter where they are at the time.

I had been to the adoration room during the day & can testify that there were no flowers in the room, let alone roses.  As with a number of other people, I knelt outside of the room, & meditated on Mary & Joseph fleeing to Egypt with the Christ child & the hardships they must have endured.  When the apparition ended, the door to the adoration room opened & I immediately detected the scent of roses in the air.  An elderly lady, weeping, then rested her head on my shoulder & asked me if she was smelling (roses) what she thought she was smelling. The strange thing was that my brother, who was kneeling next to me, did not detect any scent whatsoever.

But the most amazing thing happened just prior to my drive home.  I can only describe what came over me as a state of complete ecstasy.  When I tell family & friends about this experience, I refer to it as “a touch of heaven”.  I was singing the “ Ave Maria “ all the way home.

All I can say is that if this is what heaven is like, I can’t wait to get there.
